An Old Regular Baptist of Jesus Christ

My name is Daryl Slone. I was raised in a small community in Knott County Kentucky. I was the only boy and the youngest of three children. The Lord truly blessed me with a wonderful family. On March 5, 1995, I was born into another family. I joined the local regular baptist church and a month later, on April 2, 1995, I was baptized. 

My wife and I currently serve and worship the Lord at the Rock Fork Regular Baptist Church in Garrett, Ky. We both love our church. I serve as a minister and Beth works with the children that come. Our church belongs to the Indian Bottom Association and we enjoy traveling to our sister churches to fellowship with those of the same faith and order.

I am dedicating my life to spread the good news of Christ to all that will listen. I plan on doing this in preaching, practical living and through blogging and social networking. I consider myself a Fundamental Evangelical Baptist because I agree with most, if not all, of the major view points with each. I accept the basic fundamentals of Christian doctrine, I have the desire to share the gospel and my personal belief in practice defines what I am and where I should worship.

The Lord has blessed me with two beautiful daughters whom I love more than life itself. The ultimate goal I have for each of them is that in the day of their visitation, they accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. My message is the same to them as it is to everyone else;“If you have Christ, you have it all. If you have not Christ, you have nothing.” I desire for my children and yours to have it all.

In my leisure time I like to play golf. I try to play as much as I can but with church, work and family, it seems the days and weeks just keep getting shorter and opportunities keep getting fewer. I am still able to take a few trips each year with old friends and escape the hustle of everyday life. Though I do have a love for the game of golf, its more of the fellowship I have with friends that I enjoy most.
